Choosing Matching Hawaiian Attire: I would like to recommend caution when choosing matching Hawaiian attire for a family portrait. At times some fabric patterns can look busy and take away from the feeling of the photograph. I would recommend choosing possibly one or two matching pieces and then taking solid colors from the pattern for the other family members.
Hair: Have
options for hair in case
it's windy the day of the photo session.

bring a brush, comb, hair spray or
jell.
Makeup: Have
touch up makeup on
hand in case of shine. We can provide a referral for professional makeup and hair, when requested.
Jewelry: I

Security Note: Do not bring expensive items to the photo session. Make good use of your hotel's safe and leave expensive items at the hotel. Never leave important possessions in your unattended parked vehicle.

Some people love being in front of the camera, others aren't as comfortable. A good Family photographer must know how to deal with both ends of the spectrum and everything in between. That's my job; getting an easy give-and-take going between us. It's my job to help you relax, express who you really are, have fun with the camera, and actually enjoy the photo session. And it really can be fun! Oahu Family Portraits using Oahu's breathtaking and Beautiful Seascapes as a backdrop. I highly recommend a location away from Waikiki Beach which can be very crowded for a family photo session, Waimanalo beach would be my first location recommendation.

What makes a photo unique? In twenty-five words or less, it's photographer's ability to frame the subject. Combining the choice of the right lens, background, foreground, angle, perspective, focal length, aperture, and so on. A great photographer can shoot in the middle of nowhere and still create timeless art. Having the great backgrounds that we have here in the Hawaiian Islands is a real advantage.

Senior portraits are often included in graduation announcements or are given to friends and family. They are also used in yearbooks and are usually rendered larger than their underclassmen counterparts and are often featured in color, even if the rest of the yearbook is mostly reproduced in black and white. In some schools the requirements are strict regarding the choice of photographer or in the style of portraiture, with only traditional-style portraits being acceptable. Many schools choose to contract one photographer for their yearbook portraits, while other schools allow many different photographers to submit yearbook portraits.

Oahu by far has the most beautiful wedding locations and many recommend having your ceremony and reception on Oahu, where famous Honolulu and buzzing Waikiki make their home, followed by a private honeymoon on the island, because the prices for weddings are generally lower on Oahu, there are a ton of spots to choose from, and it's easier to obtain a marriage license in Honolulu. If you choose to take this advice, there are many spectacular locations in which to exchange vows, many of them free, as public beaches and parks in Hawaii are free to marry at but at times may require a permit. With the options of city and surf, nearly any type of wedding is possible on Oahu, so whether you want a more traditional church ceremony and hotel reception, or want to say your vows at the foot of a waterfall, you can make it happen in style on Oahu.
